Unusual visualizations are created by programmer Erin Davis, who analyzes and collects data sets. In his interpretation, the world map does not look like the atlases show us.

In his project, the guy published a series of maps through which he captures satellite images and the colors of individual regions. It turns out that if a country on the world map has several shades, then the programmer simply deduced the average indicator by color.

In his work, the guy uses satellite data, coding and computer programs. He transformed them into images of a certain format, combined and edited collages.

First, the programmer determined the direction - countries and regions. Then I transformed their images into png files, took the average value of colors and shades. And, as a result, a new vision of generally accepted cards.

If the standard "pictures" of countries, continents and regions have several shades, then in the works of Erin Davis it is rather monochrome. But these one-color formats on some continents are different in length - they start with dark green and end with yellow.

The reason the young guy decided to get into personal cartography was his interest in travel. He often plans the routes of his movements. And one day I noticed a strange color pattern - all continents, countries and regions on them are colorful. Erin Davis didn't think it was bad, but just decided to experiment.

In the section "Sports, recreation, leisure, tourism, fishing" lots are displayed, which also help to plan your travels and experiment.
