Art has always been beyond the bounds of something real, and even more so in the modern world, which is developing as rapidly as possible. Artists make extensive use of technological advances to create masterpieces. This is exactly what a resident of Tomsk Taras Zheltyshev does.

The main activity of Taras is industrial design. And for a hobby, the young man chose an even more creative direction. Taras uses additive technologies to create amazing figurines.

They became part of an art project called YOOMOOTA by the author. This is a special world that is a reflection of the physical and spiritual, soul and body. Unique creatures inhabit the YOOMOOTA universe. For example, on the planet Emo, there are individuals who, through the play of colors and symbols on the body, transmit the gamut of human emotions.

Each creature from the fantastic planets of Taras is a miniature collectible creation. The circulation of the sculptures is limited, because they were created using a complex author's technique.

The artist starts working on the figurines with a sketch. The craftsman then models the workpieces (in CAD) and sculpts (in ZBrush). The next stage is printing individual parts on a 3D printer.

For this purpose, Taras chose stereolithography technology, because it has a high print quality. Other 3-d printers are unable to reproduce small and complex elements with such fidelity.

To give the sculptures stability, the designer fills them with plastic or plaster. The final touch is the hand-painted figurines.
At the moment, Zheltyshev plans to promote art products on the international market. The designer believes that the figures are able to compete with the works of popular masters in Japan and the United States.
