People were engaged in the creation of miniatures in ancient times. The works of masters from the past are not only not inferior to modern ones, but in many respects even surpass them.

An amazing boat was created in 1737 by Tsu-Cheng - a singer and sculptor from China. What is unusual about it? - you ask. A boat was made from a miniature olive pitted. The boat is 34 mm long and 17 mm wide. This work is a true masterpiece of art.

The miniature is made of a minimal set of tools: metal knives of different sizes. The copy completely repeats the structure of the original. Folded sails, bamboo frame and fabric on the top - the artist has depicted all the details. Didn't forget about the people: there are 8 people on board.

One of them took a seat near the door. The figurine is made so high quality that you can see his hairstyle and clothes. A woman rests her hand on the side of the ship - this can be seen from the outfit and the shape of the body.

The front of the miniature looks like a wooden gazebo. Bamboo is the material from which the central floor is made. Wooden beams act as a support. There are carved doors on both sides of the product. They not only look exquisite, but also open and close.

The people in the stern are preparing for tea. One of the passengers is brewing a kettle on the fire, the rest are sitting at a tiny table. All elements of the craft are made so professionally that you can study even small details (for example, dishes).

The boat dates back to the Qing Dynasty. The ancient masterpiece of a Chinese craftsman has been passed down from generation to generation for several centuries in a row. Now the olive boat is kept in the museum.

We invite creative people who are fond of wood carving to this section. There you will find a large selection of tools needed for this type of activity.
