Hiroshi Ito is an artist from Japan who creates stunning stone sculptures with unusual inlaid scenes,
The master's works are based on material contradictions. The stone evokes associations with hardness and coldness. Ito decided to demonstrate that in the hands of a professional, raw materials may not be what they appear at first glance.

A graduate of the National University of Fine Arts (Tokyo) extracts material for his creations in a river at the foot of a mountain next to his home. The craftsman emphasizes the natural beauty of stones polished by powerful streams of water.

This is characteristic of all Japanese culture. The inhabitants of the country respect and value everything that nature has created in its original form. This cultural aspect led to the development of the Mitate movement. Subjects that are of some importance receive a new vision and a different context.

The craftsman places a "bag" with zippers or fasteners with various contents in the stone: mechanisms from old watches, bright berries, coins, etc.

Recently, Hiroshi's work was exhibited for the first time in a Japanese art gallery. The personal exhibition of the author was named "The Mysterious Stone".
