Paper wigs resembling sculptures are created by a creative couple from Russia. Asya and Dmitry Kozina took Baroque jewelry as a basis.

Sculptural compositions made of paper that resemble multi-layered worlds are wigs of Russian craftsmen. They depict ships, buildings, waves and mountains. The creative couple is trying to show on the wig everything that is associated with the comfortable existence of a modern person - money, travel, delicious food.

Asya and Dmitry Kozina drew an analogy with wealth in wigs for a reason. In the past, only members of the nobility could afford bulky hair jewelry. People who lived in abundance.

It takes a couple of sculptors about a week to create one wig. It all starts with the preparation of the drawing, which reflects the smallest details. Each wig is also a story. With their work, Asya and Dmitry Kozina want to convey a certain message to the viewer.

As before, elaborate wigs made no practical sense. They gave only aesthetic pleasure to those around them. It was in the past. This is happening now.

The works of the creative couple can be seen at personal exhibitions. And in 2019, they were invited to Dolce & Gabbana to complement the models' looks with their paper wigs. They were whales and lobsters woven into the paper-based history of hats.

You can keep track of your hair without wigs or hairpieces. However, long-haired beauties are unlikely to cope without combs, hairpins, elastic bands. And in the section of the OXO site "Hair Care" this is enough.
