American startup Urban eVTOL has presented a project of air taxi, which will be able to accelerate to 400 km / h and fly about 480 km on a single charge.

Initially, it will be a manned version of the air taxi, and then the developers will move on to the production of a four-seat drone. It will be equipped with 16 electric motors with propellers at the front and rear. For each of them, a thrust of 54 kg is planned.

The rear propellers will be positioned so that the air taxi can accelerate while in a horizontal position. In this case, double wings will be responsible for the lifting force, which systematically "stretch" along the front and stern.

The dimensions of the finished vehicle will correspond to standard parking spaces. This will allow you to move not only outside the city, but also within it. For example, in the open parking of hypermarkets, the roofs of skyscrapers, etc.

In terms of charging, the main battery will be supplemented with additional ones. The ability to quickly replace is another advantage of air taxi for modern car owners. It is assumed that the main power supply will allow you to enjoy uninterrupted flight for 75 minutes.

In the future, the developers plan to use an inflatable landing gear for their aircraft. This will allow you to noticeably soften the landing, to maintain a horizontal position in the ground state.

It is noted that if there are no problems with financing, then the creation of a finished prototype can be implemented in a year. In the meantime, car owners can turn to the offers of the OXO section "Auto, Moto".
