Costumes reminiscent of overweight people are created by textile artist Daisy May Collingridge. Folds, swelling and volume - all these are the "meaty" tights of an enterprising master.
Each suit is a layering of jersey and cotton, hand-sewn. Separate segments of the "body" are filled with cotton wool, beans, sand. Many of them look like mattresses stacked on top of each other.
Daisy May Collingridge chooses all shades of pink, purple and blue as colors. Sometimes, for a more accurate color rendering of the human body, he uses orange and yellow, mixing them with gray.
According to the author, his costumes are a joyful representation of a person about himself. Opportunities to perceive yourself as he really is. These fancy costumes celebrate flesh, shape and movement.
Each of the textile suits can exist in both static and dynamic contexts. Exhibition exhibits at any time can become paraphernalia for dances or films. You just need to put them on and follow the script.
A textile artist is delighted with different patterns. But he notes that there is a limit to how "thick" his suit can be. He calls his works the product of childhood. The time when you could wrap yourself in a blanket and imagine yourself as anyone.
It is necessary to develop your hobby. Otherwise, it will simply not be enjoyable. And in the section
"Accessories for sewing and needlework" there is everything you need for this.
