Mercedes-Benz has started construction of a new plant in Poland. The company is focused on the production of automotive engines, including 4-cylinder engines, hybrid units, as well as batteries designed for electric cars. The plant will accommodate more than 1000 employees.

According to the plans of the management of Mercedes-Benz electrification of the entire model range should be completed by 2022. Since by that time the company will be able to offer about ten fully electric machines, the production of batteries in the new factory will be an important factor in the development of the company. The first prototypes will appear this year, and later will begin to mass assemble serial devices.
