The bridge, which resembles a boat of the residents of the reservation, was designed by the designer Volkan Alkanoglu. A wooden structure connects two banks, between which a stream flows.

The bridge was made of solid cedar. The contrast in this case was the brook, which floods depending on the season. The 19-meter monolithic structure has a curved shape and is equipped with walkways.

The designer used balancing elements as a support. They are located on both sides of the bridge. They are supplemented with a drainage system made of rock fill. This minimizes the footprint of the entire structure.

The decision to create a canoe-shaped bridge came to the designer for a reason. Volkan Alkanoglu has Indian roots and for a long time was fond of studying the traditions and customs that reigned on the reservations. Then he moved on to creating small figurines, and now he is engaged in the design of socially useful structures.

The American's project won a competition related to functional art. It attracted the attention of the jury for its authenticity, convenience and practicality. This construction cost the city almost 400 thousand dollars.

The construction of the bridge took place in several stages - design and control approval, preparation of building materials and erection, verification of the strength of the structure.

However, even in this case, it was not without small tools for finishing work. Calipers, cutters, vices, etc. can be purchased in the OXO website section "Tools and equipment".
