Home appliance manufacturer Dyson has launched a line of vacuum cleaners with innovative features. Newer models can find and remove microscopic dust. In this case, an accurate determination of its size and quantity occurs.
In one of the nozzles of the vacuum cleaner, the developers have built in a laser, which, during operation, "illuminates" the dust particles in green. This increases the contrast of dirt on various surfaces. The laser on the roller is positioned at an angle of 1.5 degrees and is at a height of 7.3 mm. This allows the vacuum cleaner to "see" those dust particles that a person cannot notice.
After detecting the dust particles, the carbon fiber bristles come into play. They collect dust, transferring it further along a corrugated pipe to sensors located in the vacuum cleaner.
Garbage collection is accompanied by periodic vibrations, which are converted into information about the occupancy of the vacuum cleaner. The screen displays information about the amount and size of dust removed from surfaces. It is presented in a diagrammatic format.
But not only the use of innovative technologies was the task of the developers. They planned to reduce the weight of the vacuum cleaners. However, with a small mass, no power loss is observed.
No less powerful devices that help to put things in order in the house are presented in the section of the OXO website
"Technics". There are collected more than 2 thousand active lots of different manufacturers, models and years of production. Among them there are even vintage vacuum cleaners that can become exhibits in collections.
