The head of the American company Tesla announced the creation of a new humanoid robot, which should facilitate the implementation of certain algorithms. The presentation took place at the Day of Artificial Intelligence, organized by the corporation.

Visually, the robot will look like a human, but instead of a face, it will have a screen. The humanoid will be 173 cm tall and weigh 57 kg. The approximate travel speed will be about 8 km / h. A fully autonomous computer will be responsible for the technical equipment of the robot.

The new development is designed to facilitate current human tasks. We are talking about monotonous jobs, physical or mental in nature, associated with neural networks. The choice will allow a person to do certain actions on their own or to use the help of a humanoid robot.

Presumably the serial production of such devices will affect the economy. On the one hand, it will be somewhat costly - the production processes for creating humanoids cannot be called cheap. On the other hand, part of the routine, if not most, can be removed from people.

According to the head of Tesla, a humanoid prototype will appear by the end of 2022. However, this is subject to adherence to the intended plan of all tests. As well as proper financing of partner companies.

Humanoid robots were previously considered a figment of the imagination of science fiction writers, who showed the world of the future in their books. Several such publications can definitely be found in the section of the OXO website Literature.
