Mike Shilov presented a collection of handmade carpets for the Italian brand

Designer Max Shilov created three handmade carpets for the Italian brand Sahrai Milano. The latter specializes in the production of handmade textiles.

The collection, created by Max Shilov, includes three handmade carpets, for which silk and wool were used. In the design, there is an overlap of abstract images on top of each other, interweaving of lines, boldness of color compositions. All this helped to create an unusual texture.

Two carpets from the collection are rectangular, one is round. This shows the diversity of approaches, a desire to experiment. In the future, variations in geometric shapes may be expanded.

The collection was inspired by the art of the Russian avant-garde, a metaphor between nature and life. There is an unspoken reference to this in every carpet.

This is not the first experience of cooperation between a Russian designer and foreign brands. Previously, he had already taken an active part in joint work - he studied the materials of European masters, offered his solutions regarding their interpretation.

The carpets from the new collection can be seen during an exhibition at the Milan showroom. Everyone will be able to get acquainted not only with the project of Max Shilov, but also with the works of designers from other countries. As for buying carpets right at the exhibition, this is unlikely to happen. The exhibits will be used as examples of works.
