Italian pilot Dario Costa managed to set records for overcoming closed tunnels. The man was able to overcome two covered crossings near Istanbul with the help of an airplane.

In total, the stunt pilot managed to fly 2.6 thousand meters in just over 43 seconds. Dario Costa chose an aircraft specially prepared for this test flight as the device for setting the record.

During the flight, there were some emergency situations. During the flight, the aircraft could touch the track or the walls of the tunnels. But this was prevented. The only critical moment is getting into a crosswind after overcoming the first leg of the route.

As the pilot himself noted, he flew into the first tunnel before 6 in the morning. So the weather conditions, in particular the sunrise, did not prevent the execution of a technically difficult task.

After exiting the first tunnel, the plane steered sharply to the right. Dario Costa reacted with lightning speed - he returned the device to its original path in order to continue moving along the second tunnel.

The Italian stuntman managed to become a record holder four times - the first flight through a car tunnel in an airplane, an airplane overcoming two tunnels, an exit from a tunnel, the longest covered path covered by a manned vehicle.

They often take years to prepare for such experiments. This is preceded by serious theoretical calculations and practical tests. You often have to purchase additional parts. It is not difficult to solve this problem with the OXO website - there are more than 2.7 thousand active lots in the section "Auto, Moto".
