Industrial designer Mark Newson presented his new project - a shelving unit with multi-colored blocks. The furniture is planned to be used for one of the London galleries.

The structure is modular furniture made of metal and covered with multi-colored enamel. Internal blocks can be interchanged, therefore, if desired, the rack takes on different shapes and sizes.

The designer was guided by the principles of aesthetics, functionality and design when creating a new piece of furniture. Mark Newson suggested that this is what should be read in modern furniture. But he did not forget the benefit for the future owner of the rack - to use it as intended for storing various items.

It is assumed that the open shelves will be able to place books, photo frames, lighting fixtures and other decor.

The possibility of modifying the shape of the shelving makes this piece of furniture very convenient for rooms of different sizes. In rectangular rooms, it can be placed along long walls, in square rooms - along short ones. In some cases, such racks can be used as room zoning, placed in the middle of a room or to separate some part of it.

In the arsenal of an industrial designer, there are many works that combine functionality, beauty and the ability to be used for their intended purpose.

In the section of the OXO website "Home, interior" modular structures are also exhibited that can make any space convenient and memorable.
