Wooden lamps are the work of American designer Paul Fockler. He uses dry wood collected from California forests as materials.

Visually, the designer's lamps are metal structures decorated with wooden lampshades. Rectangles of different sizes are cut into the walls of the wood. A block with electrical components is placed inside.

The peculiarity of this designer's work is in revealing wood textures that are hidden from the human eye. Paul Fockler uses carvings to show them. Then he glues the desired pieces of wood. At the exit, all of this turns into skillfully assembled lamps.

When the light is turned on in such a lamp, the streams of warm illumination resemble the "echoes" of a smoldering fire. Measured crunching of logs in the fireplace. Calm heat.

The collection began when Paul Fockler saw a piece of wood and thought that its beauty simply did not allow this piece to be burned in a fire. The external texture, the shapes are filled with attractiveness that allows you to experiment.

The designer discovered different methods of splitting and then sawing. This enhanced the look of the cut and brought out previously unnoticed wood patterns.

In his collection, Paul Fockler adhered to minimalist ideas. He strove to preserve the harmony between nature and technology - wood and the way it is processed. This was supposed to improve the aesthetics of both sides.

In the section of the OXO website "House, Interior", more than 7 thousand active lots are exhibited, including lamps, sconces, lamps, as well as details to them.
