Austrian studio Barbara Gollackner presented dishes made from food waste. The collection was presented during Vienna Design Week.

The product line is a simple and laconic tableware - plates, saucers, cups, bowls. The colors and shapes of objects are as simple as possible.

Austrian designers have used processed foods for their kitchenware. From the resulting mixture, a material was prepared and printed on a 3D printer. Waste served as a kind of vehicle for the creation of new objects.

Organic waste taken from Austrian restaurants was supplemented with industrial waste. Their number was enough to prepare a whole collection of tableware. The result is a kind of composite - durable, environmentally friendly, practical to use.

The problem of the rational use of items, processing of raw materials is quite relevant today. Designers in many companies deliberately try to use recycling as the main way to develop something new.

At Vienna Design Week, many projects were presented that surprised guests and jury members. These are all kinds of pieces of furniture, and art objects, and works of art by novice masters of painting and sculpture.

If such experiences are alien, then it is not difficult to find traditional cutlery or other kitchen utensils. On the OXO website in the section "Home, interior" you can find suitable items for your interior - decorative plates, cutlery sets, trays, dishes etc.
