Austrian studio Barbara Gollackner presented dishes made from food waste. The collection was presented during Vienna Design Week.
The product line is a simple and laconic tableware - plates, saucers, cups, bowls. The colors and shapes of objects are as simple as possible.
Austrian designers have used processed foods for their kitchenware. From the resulting mixture, a material was prepared and printed on a 3D printer. Waste served as a kind of vehicle for the creation of new objects.
Organic waste taken from Austrian restaurants was supplemented with industrial waste. Their number was enough to prepare a whole collection of tableware. The result is a kind of composite - durable, environmentally friendly, practical to use.
