A maze of books: designers create an unusual library in China

The library, which seems to be something from a fantasy world, was created by the designers of XL-MUSE. The place of its deployment was the center of Hangzhou.

The spacious room, where visitors can not only borrow books, but also enjoy reading them, looks somewhat intimidating. This is largely due to book labyrinths, benches and endless walls.

The library is divided into several locations. Each of them offers books in different directions. Classical literature, popular science, children's publications and more. Depending on this, the appearance of the locations also varies.

The effect of infinity is added to the space by mirrors, which are placed not only on the surfaces of the walls, but also on the ceilings. Some of them are even on the floor. Not the least role in the non-standard approach was played by curved walls and all kinds of rounding.

The decision to create such a project came to the experts of the XL-MUSE studio not by chance. They planned to offer readers a place where everyone could forget about time and fully immerse themselves in reading.
