The sculpture of a drowning girl was created by Mexican artist Ruben Orozco. With his work, he wanted to remind people of the threat of global warming.

The sculpture represents the head of a girl, which appears or disappears depending on the ebb and flow. The incredibly detailed face looks a little creepy - high forehead, deep-set eyes, plump lips.

Fiberglass and resin were used as material. Even for the final coat, Ruben Orozco opted for a translucent resin. The total weight of the sculpture was 120 kg.

Through the strength of his work, the Mexican artist wanted to show how unstable the climate is. And, in many ways, human activity can prevent these irreversible changes.

To see the sculptures, local authorities even created a tide map. Anyone who wants to visit the site can download it and follow the head that appears. For greater comfort, a pleasure boat runs along the river. Open decks allow you to get closer to the sculpture and take a photo with it.

The installation of this unusual reminder to the climate was carried out at night. And local residents said that this procedure scared them a little. Especially when the head was transported from the truck to the surface of the earth.

For launching and installation at a certain level, the workers used specialized tools. Heavy equipment helped them. But even around the house, without the appropriate tools, it is impossible to install anything. And here the section of the OXO site "Tools and equipment" can act as an assistant.
