House in the rock: Italian architects have developed a project of ascetic housing

The house in the rock was carved out by architects from the Ummo Estudio studio. Some rooms are decorated with limestone instead of walls.

The house can be visually divided into two parts. The first part is an exterior finish of white walls that separate the building from the surrounding area. The second part is interior decoration and layout.

For the exterior work, the designers turned to in-situ concrete to provide the proper level of support for the limestone rock layers. After preparatory work, they were covered with white paint.

Inside, the emphasis was also placed on shades of white. However, it was not done without monolithic self-leveling floors. This allowed the lower level to be balanced.

Filling with furniture echoed the main idea of ​​the project - to show the maximum combination of nature and man-made objects. This manifested itself in the use of wood and plastic furniture, natural and artificial leather.

To illuminate such a space, it took a competent installation of double-glazed windows - their size varied from small vents to panoramic windows. The result is quite light and airy rooms.

In the evening, the lighting problem was solved with lamps and chandeliers. The latter were traditionally located in the center of large rooms.

It took the architects several years to complete the project. Taking into account the preparation of a plan for the future home, calculation of estimates, construction and internal work.
