The creative tandem of photographer Joseph Ford and fashion designer Nina Dodd has been creating unusual photographs for five years. In their art, they use the masking effect.

The idea of the project is to create clothes for a certain appearance of a room or a natural object of a camouflage sweater. These could be art galleries, overpasses on the seashore, seats on the bus.

By the way, it was with the latter that the creative project began. Joseph and Nina noticed a man riding a regular bus. And his sweater is exactly like the seat cover of this bus seat.

To come up with a concept for each shot, Joseph had to search for locations for several days. And Nina sometimes spent weeks and even months knitting one sweater.

The main criterion for the location was consistency. After all, over time, the finished sweater needed to fit into the surrounding space. It would be awful to come to the scene to find that the building is destroyed or the painting has been re-hung.

Filming locations are libraries, stadiums, abandoned factories, escalators and even watermelons. After all, "models" can be not only people, but also animals, objects, products.

It is difficult to acquire knitted sweaters and merge with them in the outside world. But it is possible. In the section "Fashion, beauty and health" of the OXO website there are more than 36 thousand active lots. Among them are men's and women's clothing - sweaters, pullovers, vests and other knitted products.
