The sculpture representing a full-size Mercedes-Benz car was created by American Jordan Griska. The non-functional model was introduced four years ago.

The art object consists of steel plates connected to each other and polished to a high shine. The sculpture was ordered as a broken copy of the car and was originally planned to use glass, but at the last moment it was replaced with steel.

The art object is based on a series of images by Andy Warhol, as well as novels by F. S. Fitzgerald. The author wanted to show the contrast between the flowering of beauty and the entire horror of destruction.

The sculptor's work was based on the use of digital technologies and manual elaboration of individual elements. Jordan Griska tried to portray the possibilities of the modern automotive industry with all the thoughtfulness and real accidents. Moreover, the latter can lead to tragic accidents.

The sculptor spent more than three years on the project. For almost a year and a half, he studied the technical characteristics of the car, adaptive capabilities on the road, conditions for the driver and passengers.

Now the car belongs to collectors, who occasionally exposes the sculpture to the public. The rest of the time he enjoys the beauty of the steel "destroyed" Mercedes-Benz personally.

Quite often, out of service vehicles become art objects. And the same ones that can be repaired on the go. In the section "Auto, Moto" there are spare parts for them.
