Volkswagen to launch production of unmanned ambulance vans
German automaker Volkswagen has shown what an ambulance van will look like. The car was shown at a specialized exhibition in Habsburg.
The prototype of the car with the traditional red-blue-yellow paintwork served as the previously released model ID. The vehicle has no controls. However, there are two chairs inside, as well as specialized medical equipment and a couch.
The automaker took such a step due to the shortage of medical workers capable of working on the road. The situation is also complicated by the quarantine conditions in the world. Many physicians now fundamentally refuse to visit patients with serious infectious diseases.
