World Balloon Championship ended with victory for Peruvian
The World Balloon Championship was held in one of the cities of Spain. The winner was a player from Peru.
Representatives from 32 countries of the world took part in the championship. The players were confined to a room measuring 16 square meters. Inside there were various objects that served as obstacles - a sofa, a table, an armchair, a car and other little things.
The essence of the game was to keep the balloon in the air as long as possible. At the same time, the players were forbidden to interfere with their opponents. A point was counted in the event that the enemy was unable to repulse the balloon and it touched the floor.
The main prize of the championship went to the Peruvian Francisco de la Cruz.
The idea to organize such a competition came to Barça defender Gerard Piquet and esports commentator Ibai Llanos. They were inspired by videos from social networks, which were filmed by the Arredondo brothers, who also took part in the championship.
The brothers said that they had fun in this way in childhood. And during the quarantine they decided to remember this, but in a slightly different format. The guys filmed a video and posted it to the network, conducted online competitions.
Once their video got a million likes and the Arredondo brothers realized that this was a signal. This continued until they were noticed by Pique and Llanos.
