A house on board an airplane: a creative solution for an American woman

Jo Ann Ussery, a resident of Beyot (America), turned a decommissioned Boeing 727 into an ideal home. Vivid imagination and hard work helped the woman in her idea. Now her home is considered one of the most unusual in the whole world.

Previously, the hairdresser lived in the trailer. But when her mobile home was destroyed by a storm, Jo En decided to move to a safer place. And her choice fell on the plane of the Continental Airlines company. The aircraft flew from 1968 to 1993, and then the owners put it up for sale. Ussery bought it back for $ 2,000. But the woman spent another $ 4,000 on delivering the plane to its destination.

25 thousand dollars were needed to change the interior. Almost all of the airliner was redesigned. Only the restroom and luggage boxes, which were previously located above the chairs, remained authentic. Now they serve as mezzanines for storing things.

The four-meter width of the Boeing made it possible to accommodate all the necessary furniture. A large number of windows make the interior light and airy.

The hostess has at her disposal 3 cozy bedrooms and a comfortable kitchen equipped with multifunctional appliances. An American woman can relax after a hard day in a large jacuzzi bath.

It is worth noting that the hairdresser was directly involved in the transformation of the Boeing. Re-laying the floors, laying out the wiring and connecting the plumbing - all this Jo En did with her own hands.

The woman also chose an unusual place for a new home. The front of the Boeing froze in the air over the lake. Thanks to this solution, the feeling is created that the plane is taking off into the sky.
