The tables, which combine metal and wood, are created by Israeli designer Hilla Shamia. Items look very organic in different interiors.

The collection of furniture items is represented by tables of different sizes and shapes - rectangular and square, high and low. But they have one thing in common - a wooden top and a metal bottom.

The table making procedure consists of two stages - the creation of the legs from molten aluminum and the table top made of wood.

Hilla Shamiya chooses logs for tabletops, which are pre-cut to the desired size. Partially fired to create a charred wood effect.

Then, for the table, legs and a frame under the table top are poured through special forms. For this, the Israeli designer resorts to the help of men, because molten metal is not easy. After hardening in the molds and cooling down, the metal frame is sanded and bonded to the wooden countertop.

Sometimes Hilla Shamiya uses glue to hold the two parts of the table structure together. Then this procedure is delayed for several more days. A wooden tabletop can simply be mounted on a metal base and "stick" to it at the stage of metal cooling.

The tables of the designer from Israel fit well into any modern interiors. They can become accent elements or logical additions to existing spaces.

If desired, such a table can be found on the OXO website in the section "Home, interior". Metal legs and a wooden frame are the traditional form for most types of furniture.
