Chinese car manufacturer XPeng Motors has unveiled an electric vehicle that can travel through the air. The novelty is equipped with a system of screws that open and close depending on the type of movement.

Lightweight electric vehicles will be able to accelerate to 130 km / h and stay in the air for up to 25 minutes. The design, equipped with screws, has two places for the driver and passenger, safety equipment - a parachute system, belts and more. For control, the driver can use the steering wheel, which looks like a joystick.

The screws placed on the roof of the electric vehicle are of interest. Depending on the type of movement, they either fold or unfold. This allows the vehicle to travel in a traditional manner on the road, or through the air.

According to the CEO of XPeng Motors, the final design of the flying electric vehicle will be approved at a later date. However, it is planned to start mass production in 2024.

It is noted that such projects are of increasing interest among automakers due to their mobility. As for the Chinese company, XPeng has raised over $ 500 million in investment. But there is still a solution to the issues related to the legal regulation of air travel.
