Stylish and simple - Aust & Amelung studio sofa

Designers Miriam Aust and Sebastian Amelung have created a sofa in pastel colors, which, despite the external simplicity, is very practical.

The sofa consists of a base and cushions. Due to the mobility of the latter, a kind of modular design is obtained. Different colors in pastel shades add versatility to the sofa.

The designers used wood, dense foam rubber and matting as materials. An elastic band and an iron retainer are attached to each pillow, which, like a latch, fits into the groove. This attachment principle holds the pillow securely in place.

Miriam Aust and Sebastian Amelung were inspired by furniture from the 60s. Juicy and calm shades were mixed. Wood and metal were replaced with veneer and plastic. The furniture was both laconic and sophisticated. Convenience and practicality were put at the forefront.
