The unmanned boat was created jointly by American and Dutch engineers. The floatation vehicle can carry people and goods.

A boat with a metal frame can accommodate up to 5 people. High sides reliably protect against splashes flying while driving through the water. And the adaptable hull changes the shape of the upper deck depending on the tasks of movement. The latter allows people to sit on deck or transport cargo.

The control is based on innovative technology with lidar, GPS and cameras that record the environment in real time. To steer the boat from point A to point B, you need to collect data on potential obstacles along the way. Then they are transferred to control algorithms, and the system builds a safe route. The information about the direction and speed of movement is also corrected.

The use of an unmanned boat is also possible at night. This allows you to collect debris and move building materials without compromising traffic. However, the main task is still the transportation of people.

A year earlier, a similar unmanned device was presented, but its length was 2 m. The size of the boat, which was created by American and Dutch engineers, was doubled.

Against the backdrop of new developments, it is planned to increase the coastlines and equip the canals with floating bridges.

But you need to prepare for any swim. In particular, use special equipment. You can find the desired option on the OXO website in the section "Sports, recreation, leisure, tourism, fishing".
