Trombia Technologies started pilot tests of its new development. The robot, performing the function of a vacuum cleaner, autonomously moves along a special route and cleans the environment from debris.

Many engineers are interested in creating urban vehicles for the transport of goods and passengers. But in recent years, the development of self-driving harvesting robots on wheels is also gaining popularity. After all, the work of gadgets moving along a programmed route and performing typical functions is easy enough to automate.

The Trombia Free sweeping robot, presented by Trombia Technologies, has built-in cameras and sensors. Thanks to them, the device cleans the streets offline. At the same time, he knows how to avoid collisions with obstacles. The speed that the robotic mechanism can develop reaches 10 km / h. But in the process of cleaning, the speed decreases to 2-5 km / h. The Trombia Free is 3 and a half meters long. Width with additional side brushes - 3 m (without them - 2.3 m).

Rechargeable batteries for the gadget are available in two types: 45.6 kilowatts per hour and 91.2 kilowatts per hour. With a battery of the first type, the device works for 8.5 hours with standard cleaning mode and 4 hours with increased power. With a battery of the second type: 17 hours (normal mode) and 8 hours (difficult cleaning).

The first experimental tests of the functions of Trombia Free began with cleaning the streets of Helsinki. During the daytime, the robot travels along the Baan tourist route. At night - he does cleaning in other parts of the city.

According to the developers, the company is ready to launch ten more similar devices by the end of the year. On our website, vacuum cleaners and other household appliances are presented in the section "Household appliances".
