Detailed drawings of mechanisms, animals and birds are created by French artist Stephen Salvan. In his work, he combines different techniques.

The works of the Frenchman resemble detailed schemes with a clear drawing of individual elements. The use of shadows, the effect of three-dimensionality adds naturalness to the images.

Steven Salwan uses flora and fauna as the main themes for his drawings. However, the artist manages to weave steampunk elements into them. This is how beetles appear with sliding wings on gears or flowers with petals in the form of precious stones.

Stephen Salwan always starts with a sketch. The artist makes a few sketches, then moves on to working out individual elements. This work takes about a few hours. And the most interesting thing - giving the image color and adding detail, can take 2-3 days.

Sometimes the drawing does not work the first time. After all, any artist is inherent in the search for ideal images. Then Stephen Salwan puts off work and starts something else, or just pauses.

The French artist uses nature walks as inspiration. His head is immediately saturated with ideas after being in the forest or near a river. Often, to complete the picture, you have to flip through magazines on botany and zoology.
