Vintage items in the interior of the house look noble and sophisticated. But not all people can afford yourself a purchase of real vintage items. Okho will tell you how you can create a luxurious copy with your own hands with the help of available tools.

The most advantageous effect of a worn patina, which imitates oxidized copper, looks on caskets, sculptures, photo frames, dressers, coffee or coffee tables and wall clocks. The technique is uncomplicated. Using imagination and special stencils, you will receive an original and exclusive composition for the decoration of the room.

First of all, you need to stock up on material. You will need medium-hard nap brushes and four acrylic colors (bronze, white, green, blue). To apply volumetric fragments, you will need a fixative or putty. Don't forget about stencils and decoupage varnish with a matte finish.

The surface of the future product should be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Using a stencil and putty, apply volumetric elements to the workpiece. After the painting is dry, mix the green, white and blue paint so that the resulting shade resembles oxidized copper. Note that after the paint is completely dry, the color will darken.

Paint the item and let dry completely. Take some bronze paint on a flat brush and blot the paper with it. This is to ensure that the paint is evenly distributed over the brush.

Cover the surface of the specimen with light sweeping strokes. Paint the corners and convex parts of the pattern with enough paint. This will give you a more natural effect.

The final stage of work is covering the surface with a matte varnish (for decoupage or furniture). Now you can enjoy the result.
