A new effective method of synchronizing human activity was invented by a group of scientists. Researchers have developed a complex system for musicians, in which each of the violinists focused not on the entire composition, but on a small number of partners.
To do this, 16 participants in the experiment were placed so that they could not see each other. To prevent musicians from hearing unnecessary sounds, they were asked to wear noise canceling headphones. Further, the computer program formed a different delay in the connections, and the musicians adapted the rhythm only with what they heard in the headphones. Thanks to this, each individual participant was not distracted by conflicting signals and did not adjust to a tempo that did not coincide with the general one. The strategy turned out to be the most effective of the existing ones and allowed the musicians to feel more freedom, thanks to which the whole group worked more harmoniously.
According to the researchers, this approach will be useful in many areas (epidemiological control, traffic, stock exchanges, etc.) Synchronization of whole groups is relevant for industries such as biology, psychology, astronomy and politics. This phenomenon is also of great importance in the life of many organisms.
Therefore, understanding the principles of interaction and analyzing behavioral characteristics are important for humanity. In recent years, scientists have paid much attention to the study of synchronicity.
