Rainbow furniture: a collection of steel and glass from Buzao

A new collection of furniture made of iridescent steel and tinted glass was presented by the Buzao studio. The collection is represented by two lines: "Null" made of blue glass symbolizes harmony, stability and confidence in the future; "Hot" in a bright color palette, made of metal, conveys a psychedelic mood.

The goal of the Chinese designers at Buzao is to showcase the aesthetics of existing materials, transforming imperfections into real virtues.

The Hot collection is represented by a vertical column, a set of a dining table and two benches, as well as miniature tables (tea and side). Galvanized steel gives furniture the effect of "unpredictability" due to its iridescent hue, and the pattern that changes shape from different angles.

The glass line "Nul" l includes rectangular beams. The inspiration for this solution comes from wooden pallets, which are the most used on construction sites. The concept of the collection is a visualization of a kaleidoscope of endlessly changing results. A striking accent of the line is the balance of clear geometric shapes with sophistication of lines. The basis of a wardrobe, furniture with a bench, a pendant lamp and a side table were made up of volumetric blue glass blocks. When light hits, the material gives beautiful highlights, iridescent like a gradient.

“The basis of the design solution was a transparent body with a volumetric effect. The layering of materials and the 3-d effect emphasizes the presence of glass in the space. The non-standard surface structure is provided due to the chaotic sorting of negative and positive ions. Uncontrolled processes have become functional and aesthetic objects. ”Zeng commented on the project.
