Incredible paper art objects are created by Allen and Patty Eckman. The duo's works are unique. In their appearance, they resemble luxurious sculptures made of ivory. But in reality, the material that Allen and Petty use is plain paper. The theme of the sculptors' creations is also original. The authors reveal the philosophy and various aspects of the material and spiritual life of the Indians.

The husband and wife began to engage in unusual creativity in 1988. They had a long experience of working in an advertising company behind them.
It was this activity that showed the possible perspectives of paper casting in the visual arts.

The world saw the first sculptures made of paper back in the 1950s. It should be noted that this direction in art has nothing to do with papier-mâché. The process of making Petty and Allen's creations is more associated with casting from metal, namely bronze. Allen came up with his own technology for which he uses wet paper. Today, the artist's technique has been adopted by sculptors from all over the world who work in the same direction.

After a lot of experiments, Allen realized that the most correct solution was to pour paper into special silicone molds in the form of a deoxidized mass. After the pressed workpiece dries up, the craftsman processes it with a medical scalpel. This process requires tremendous diligence and takes at least a year in time. But the result is stunning detailed sculptures.

The spouses work together on the largest and most technically complex projects. The cost of paper sculptures is quite high. At the moment, the family has already earned more than a million dollars from the sale of their creations.
