Nicolas Gentile, a 37-year-old pastry chef from Italy, is a big fan of John Tolkien's work. Favorite characters of the Italian hobbits. Nicolas decided to imitate his characters: style of clothing and lifestyle. Therefore, the fan of the fairy tale created his own world of Shira. With his wife, he bought the area in the village of Buchianiko and erected a dwelling with round-shaped windows and doors, similar to what was left in New Zealand after the filming of The Lord of the Rings.
In the future, the craftsman is going to turn his land into a real settlement of hobbits. The village will contain a replica of Bilbo Baggins' dwelling and a bar reminiscent of the Green Dragon establishment.
Gentile noted that the life habits of the inhabitants of Buchianico are similar to the life of the heroes of the trilogy. Unity with nature, harmony in society, love of dancing evenings and holding festivals will perfectly fit the format of a hobbit village.
“Some people see my project as an attempt to escape reality. In fact, I just love adventure and go to my dream. Building a village makes me happy, ”said Nicolas.
The craftsman cannot call his project Shir due to violation of rights, so the land of Nicolas will be called Contea Gentile. Some of the houses will be funded by crowdfunding. A conscious attitude to the environment is a prerequisite for living in an unusual village. All structures, without exception, will operate using solar panels.
On our site, tools for building and repairing houses are presented in
