Holographic furniture collection developed in Barcelona

Barcelona-based Six N Five Studio has unveiled a collection of furniture inspired by holograms. Furniture colors seem unearthly.

The collection includes a sofa, an armchair and a table with chairs. All furniture is made of wood and covered with soft fabric with holographic iridescence. Moreover, the joints on soft surfaces were so veiled that the pieces of furniture seem to be cast.

As conceived by the authors of the project, the furniture from the new collection is part of the surreal stenographic design. Surrealism helps to bring the effect of surprise to art objects. People can be caught off guard by color combinations, shapes, contrast. These elements help to create a unique "speech" that provokes to go beyond the usual.

Guests at home can be scared away not only by a disgusting dinner. It is often enough to show them an unusual piece of furniture. Surrealism in furniture can be intimidating. However, this is only partially applicable to the collection created by the Barcelona studio. Coldness, unusual play and smoothness of the sofa, armchair and table with chairs can scare off.

This somewhat provocative collection of furniture can be attributed to art objects rather than interior items. But art installations, if properly positioned, can also be wonderful "decorations" for a home. This path was chosen by the Barcelona designers.
