Christmas toys can be made from different items with your own hands. An example is crafts from walnut shells.

It takes a simple set of tools and materials to create whimsical owls to decorate your Christmas tree. Nutshells, woolen threads, foil and silicone-impregnated baking paper. You can use Liquid Nails glue as fastening materials.

First you need to choose 6-8 nutshells. It is desirable that they are the same size. In some cases, they need to be defatted, because the walnut itself is fatty, which can make it difficult to join the shell.

While the shells are drying, you can prepare the details of the "owls" - wings, eyes, ears. Everything is cut out of paper. For the peephole, you can use parts from ready-made kits for creativity.

All the parts are glued to one shell, then the upper part with pre-glued eyes is superimposed on top. Between the details of the New Year's bird, you must not forget to add fasteners made of woolen thread. Otherwise, after drying, the toy cannot be hung on the tree.

Wings and ears can be made of paper or foil in different colors. So homemade Christmas tree toys will look brighter and more varied.

You can arm yourself with a simple set of tools for home creativity on the OXO website in the section "Accessories for sewing and needlework". From over 700 lots, you can choose the right tools and materials.
