The Japanese company Sony is slated to open an innovative electric vehicle division in the spring.

An experimental prototype was announced back in 2020. In the same year, they conducted tests on European roads and conducted test drives with remote control. The results were impressive and the Japanese company decided to take it to the next level.

The intention to assemble electric vehicles was announced by the head of the company. He noted that he is really considering the possibility of commercial serial production. Moreover, it is planned to do this in the near future.

Safety remains a priority for Sony. After all, there are a lot of cars on modern roads. However, not all manufacturers put this parameter in the first place. The prototype of the electric car has more than 40 sensors that monitor the movement process and related changes.

They plan to equip the salon with all kinds of devices that will allow the driver and passengers to make the movement as fun as possible. Audio, video games, and remote connectivity are some of the first innovations to be introduced.

The creation of the new division will begin by examining the needs of the modern automotive market. An important circumstance that Sony plans to take into account, the use of AI and the capabilities of robotics.

You can find out about other innovations from the automotive industry in specialized magazines that are sold on OXO website.
