Explore the possibilities of metal: Japanese designer unveils a collection of "unstable" furniture

Japanese designer Hisakazu Shimizu and a specialized design studio presented a project to study the properties of sheet metal. All developments have been realized through a new collection of furniture items.

Designers presented only two items - a small table and a stool, made in different colors. It is a combination of high craftsmanship and high technology in metal processing.

For each of the interior items, 2 mm thick plates were selected. And they are available in different colors - black, white, yellow, green and gray.

With the help of their project, the designers planned to turn the ideas about metal, which had been taking shape for decades. After all, metal surfaces of such a plan, as a rule, are used only in industrial production.

This material, according to Shimizu, can perfectly "show" itself in interior design. After all, the modern trend towards mutual substitution and the use of alternative textures is coming to the fore today.

Their versatility played an important role in the idea of ​​the created pieces of furniture. Both the stool and the table can serve as flower stands and comfortable workplaces.

The presentation of the sheet metal stool and table took place at a specialized exhibition in the capital of the country. Visitors could not only study the pieces of furniture visually, but also try them out.
