Japanese artist Mitsuru Nikaido creates sculptures using LEGO bricks. But for his work, he uses not pre-purchased sets. And he uses details that suit him in color, size and shape.

From the constructor, the Japanese collects pretty cute animals, birds and insects. In his arsenal there are inhabitants of land, sea, air. The prototype of the future figurine depends on inspiration.

What is remarkable Mitsuru Nikaido uses only gray and white bars for its sculptures. Rarely, when he needs to add accents, he turns to red, black or blue. But, if he already uses them, he "weaves" into the overall picture quite organically.

The work on the creation of the figurine begins with an idea. A Japanese artist draws on paper an image of a future animal, bird or fish. Then he prescribes for himself what elements you need to pay attention to. This can be tail, fangs, tentacles, or wings.

In some cases, to increase the detail of the image, and, accordingly, the sculpture from the constructor, you have to sit for several hours. Separately work out the angles of inclination, axis of rotation, joints of parts.

After rendering on paper, Mitsuru Nikaido proceeds to design. As a rule, this work takes about a few days for the master. It all depends on the complexity of the sculpture.

The skill of the Japanese master can be enjoyed further. Or you can try to assemble your own sculpture. To do this, you should use the offers of the OXO website and the section "Goods for children".
