Extraordinary porcelain sculptures are created by the artist Claudia Fontes. The creations of the craftswoman look like an imitation of a variety of organic textures. They resemble graceful plants, complex marine organisms, or outlined fragments of rock. The size of the figurative sculptures varies between 10-30 cm. Most of them are visited on the palm of the artist.

In a series of recent sculptures, Fontes is experimenting with the meaning of the word "foreigner". Claudia rethinks the philosophy of this term in unusual and energetically powerful miniatures. This topic attracts Fontes for a reason. The girl is a native of Argentina. She spent her entire childhood there. As an adult, she managed to work in the Netherlands and then moved to live in England. Over the past 10 years, Claudia has encountered the “derogatory” wording of the word “foreigner” many times. Claudia personally experienced the difficult process of adapting to foreign countries and a new way of life. The artist conveyed these feelings in the "porcelain" project.

Fontes admitted that the collection of Foreigner figurines was a reflection of the emotions and thoughts that she experienced while walking through the picturesque forests and meadows of England.

“When I walk through the forest, I carefully observe the natural adaptation processes of creatures in a particular ecosystem. And then I transfer the feelings into my own reality. With my work, I want to eradicate discrimination, even in its slightest manifestation,” shared Claudia Fontes.

It should be noted that the artist's sculptures are popular. Often, fans purchase figurines to add zest to the interior of the house. On our website, a wide selection of decor items is presented in the "Interior" section.
