The South Korean company Samsung has submitted a patent in which each part of the developed device is folded in half. This is a pilot version of the new laptop.

On a portable computer, you can remove the screen and divide all its parts in two. So the device becomes smaller and more mobile in transportation. After separation, one of the parts where the screen is placed can be used as a tablet. An additional function is to take notes using the touch pen.

Illustrations of a patented foldable laptop that have been leaked to the media show the device's separation mechanism. First, it folds in half, then in half again, and in half again. In the unfolded standard state, the laptop has a normal aspect ratio.

The connection of all elements is carried out through the use of a system of hinges. To fasten the corroded parts, you need to dock the elements of the device.

As for other characteristics, they are not currently given. Probably, they will be known later, when the company announces the presentation of a ready-made laptop.

Quite often it happened that after the appearance in the media of the conceptual version, the development often changed. Therefore, whether the device will be in the presented form or its details will change is also still unknown.

In the meantime, you can use existing versions of laptops from the South Korean manufacturer. One of these devices can be purchased on the OXO website in the section "PCs, laptops, tablets, office equipment".
