A UK-based Chinese restaurant chain has decided to replace waiters with robotic cats. A similar measure was initiated in connection with quarantine conditions.

Visually, this is a one and a half meter device with a monitor that depicts a cat's muzzle. Cute eyes, nose, mouth appear on the screen. To use the waiter cat, visitors must install a special application on their smartphone.

The functions of the cat-waiter include taking orders, delivering them to the table, calculating and collecting dirty dishes. But due to the robot's lack of arms, visitors must pick up and return cups, plates, and cutlery on their own. In fact, the robotic employee is only engaged in transportation and ordering.

The leadership of the Chinese restaurant chain took such a measure due to a lack of staff. After all, many are simply unable to go to work due to illness.

And the maintenance of such a robot cat is cheaper than hiring staff even with a minimum wage. Also, there is no need for systematic immunization or PCR tests.

In institutions, such robots are often filmed by visitors and posted on their social networks. But they enjoy more love and interest in children.

You can find a robot for your child on the OXO website in the section "Products for children". Among the active lots are models that you need to assemble yourself or play with a ready-made toy. Also, it can be not just classically transforming robots, but also robots in the form of cats, dogs and other animals.
