Designers from O&A London expanded their collection of carpets

Specialists of the design studio O&A London presented a kind of rethinking of their textile products. Updated line of carpets.

Updates concerned the manufacture of a new carpet. During its creation, the designers were inspired by the coldness of St. Petersburg. These are not only natural phenomena - winds, frozen rivers, but also architecture. Wrought iron fences, gabled roofs, carved wood and metal window trim.

The textile novelty traces the snow-covered trees of St. Petersburg parks. This designers transferred to different types of canvases. The surface of the carpet is decorated with three types of textured surfaces. Wool and silk were used in the work. For coloring - only natural dyes.

Since the designers were inspired by the views of the Northern capital, it is not surprising that the color of the carpet was gray. Coldness is simultaneously intertwined with warmth. I would like to see such a textile element in any modern interior. It is distinguished by its conciseness, practicality and tranquility.

Previously, the design studio has already produced carpets that were dedicated to other cities - London, New York and Paris. Their appearance corresponded to the internal positioning of the inhabitants, architecture, culture and traditions.

The production of carpets is carried out in close cooperation with the French brand Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne, which has been producing handmade textiles since 1958.
