An increase in temperature can signal various health problems. But if there is no thermometer at hand, it is almost impossible to measure it. However, doctors talked about five sure ways.

Touching the forehead with a warm hand will immediately indicate a temperature increase of several degrees. However, if the hands of the "checker" are hot, then it is impossible to understand whether the other person's temperature has risen. On the back of the hand, the skin is more sensitive, so it is recommended to use it.

You can also establish the fact of an increase in temperature by checking the chest or back. If they seem hot, then most likely the person is feverish.

A fluctuating heart rate can also indicate an increase in temperature. Normal indicators in adults are 60-100 beats per minute. Children can reach 120-130 beats. When you have a fever, your heart starts beating faster. And every 8-10 heartbeats above normal can indicate an increase in temperature.

Other characteristic symptoms include fever, chills, weakness, profuse sweating, nausea, and headache.

In these cases, it is recommended that you see a doctor as soon as possible. Otherwise, a prolonged increase in temperature can lead to irreversible consequences.

Of particular concern is the fact that the fever does not go away after taking antipyretic drugs.

On the OXO website, in the subsection "Medical equipment and health products", there are measuring devices that will allow you to control the temperature level and more.
