US architect Calvin Seibert builds sandcastles in his spare time. He leaves for the coast, armed with a bucket and a shovel.

Seibert's structures are stylistically reminiscent of brutalist architecture. Severe rough forms, interest in local color, catchy modernist motifs, expressive textures.

The main features of this style can be called functionality, urban looks, complex compositional solutions. In the case of Calvin Seibert, all this is realized in sand structures.

To create one sand castle, an American architect needs a small plastic bucket, a set of homemade paddles, about 700 liters of sea water.

At first, Seibert simply forms a huge pile of sand, pouring and pouring "material". Then the first forms begin to appear - walls, columns, windows and doors. Moreover, all this is created taking into account strict minimalist forms.

According to the architect, he uses only water and sand. Although many believe that some transparent substances are involved in maintaining the form.

Calvin Seibert does not pay attention to vacationers, oncoming waves and cries of annoying seagulls. The architect simply follows his miniature building plan.

A simple set of tools for building sandcastles can be purchased on the OXO website. All this is sold in the "Goods for children" section. Ideas for the construction of such structures can be found there, because in the "Literature" section there are specialized publications on architecture.
