The first spaceport on the planet for orbital flights was built in New Mexico. The building was commissioned by billionaire Richard Branson. The total cost of the project exceeded $200 million.

The area of the three-story building is about 10,000 square meters, the height is 18.3 meters. A futuristic building resembling a huge electric ramp does not look superfluous. The author of the project, Norman Foster, managed to very organically fit this structure into the appearance of the desert area. In many ways, natural shapes and colors helped here.

Passengers of the cosmodrome will be able to observe the procedure for preparing for the flight. The ceilings of the control room are made of glass, so you can see crew movements, pre-flight checks, and so on.

Glass was also chosen for the control room. However, to prevent excessive influence of sound waves, it was made soundproof.

At the entrance, passengers will find a museum that will help them immerse themselves in the history of space exploration. The latter echoes the history of the American state chosen to create the first spaceport.

Previously, such structures could only be read in science fiction books. Many of them can be found on the OXO website in the section "Literature". However, now all this is more than real.

It is assumed that the spaceport will be used to launch research missions into near orbits and space tourism. Soon similar facilities will be built in other states of the country.
