The body responds to stress by releasing the hormone cortisol. Scientists have managed to develop a non-invasive device that will measure the level of this hormone.

Smartwatches record cortisol levels through sweat analysis. It turns out that they help control stress levels.

The gadget is equipped with a special adhesive tape that collects sweat droplets and conducts analysis. The existing sensor captures cortisol through chains of DNA aptamers. When aptomeres are attached to cortisol, indicators are registered.

Smart watches will become an indispensable device for people who are engaged in self-monitoring of functional data. Indicators of pulse, pressure, number of steps taken, calories burned will now be supplemented and registration of the amount of cortisol in sweat.

The sensor can be worn on any surface of the body. However, the developers propose to mount it on the back of the hand, following the example of a watch. This is very convenient for monitoring indicators and tracking dynamics.

There is no talk about the start of mass sales yet. But, perhaps, in a limited number, such smart watches will still be released.

To record the indicators of the functional parameters of the body, you can use the services of the OXO website and the "Fashion, beauty and health" section. There are more than 22 thousand active lots, including thermometers, blood pressure monitors, hearing aids, hygiene items.
