Cube houses were designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom in 1984. They conquered others with their unusual design and brightness.

The peculiarity of the structures was the relative rotation of traditional cubic structures by 45 degrees. In fact, such houses were placed on one of the faces of the hexagon.

In each individual structure, the architect saw a tree with a lush crown, which should please the eyes of the people living in this place. And the complex of 38 houses was a kind of forest. This made it possible to give at least an illusion, but an oasis.

The courtyards that were located inside such residential complexes looked very nice. They attracted attention with their appearance. Therefore, tourists simply could not get around such a place by.

Some residents of the "village" were so enterprising that they gave tours of their own yards for 2.4 euros. Visitors to Rotterdam wanted to know what cubic houses look like from the inside. And the residents of these houses just liked that their housing is admired and they also pay money for it.

Cubic houses are built according to the type of three-story buildings. The total area of the complex does not exceed 100 square meters. Inside the rooms are somewhat cramped, but this does not prevent their residents from now equipping their homes with special comfort.

You can read about novelties in the construction of unusual buildings and houses of the past from the books displayed in the section of the OXO website "Literature". Among more than 1.2 active lots, there are many quite interesting publications.
